The collaborative is interested in hearing from people who live and work in our communities to tell us which issues matter the most for their health and well-being. New! Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program

For those in our community who are diagnosed with high blood pressure, our new Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program may be able to help. We are enrolling now for this evidence-based program that features personalized support, tips for maintaining heart health and nutrition education. New Swim Program, New Names!

The Y has been “America’s Swim Instructor for over 100 years. This latest evolution of Y Swim Lessons is designed to welcome students of varying and diverse abilities to ensure that everyone feels like they belong and foster a sense of achievement from the start. The program emphasizes group activities to encourage relationship building and allows students to flow easily from one skill to the next with clearly defined stages of progress along the way. Are the kids in your life already dreaming of summer? When kids are inspired, they can do anything.  Let’s awaken their imagination so they can explore new activities and healthy habits.  Join us!

Swim The Big Yellow Mile for LIVESTRONG® April 26, 4:00pm-6:00pm                                                                                                               Swimmers, come swim 72 laps to support LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA!  Participate individually or put together a relay team of your own (family, friends, or co-workers!).  OR sponsor a swimmer to support LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA.  Even children under 8 can get sponsored for swimming a lap.  Sign up at the Member Services Desk, for more information contact Donna Peart dpeart@fspymca.org.

United for a Cause 5K Run                            May 16                                                          Family 1 Miler begins 6:30pm                          5K begins 7:00pm 

Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA & the Scotch-Plains Fanwood PTA Council have joined together to host a 5K & Family 1 Miler.  Proceeds to benefit Scotch Plains-Fanwood PTA Council Health & Wellness Scholarship and LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA.
                                                                                                                                        *Anyone entering the FSPY must present either a Y membership card or government issued photo ID. Non-members will also need to sign a waiver at the front desk.
