With our app, you can receive the latest FSPY news and updates, facility information, classes and schedules, programs and more. New! Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program

For those in our community who are diagnosed with high blood pressure, our new Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program may be able to help. We are enrolling now for this evidence-based program that features personalized support, tips for maintaining heart health and nutrition education. New Swim Program, New Names!

The Y has been “America’s Swim Instructor for over 100 years. This latest evolution of Y Swim Lessons is designed to welcome students of varying and diverse abilities to ensure that everyone feels like they belong and foster a sense of achievement from the start. The program emphasizes group activities to encourage relationship building and allows students to flow easily from one skill to the next with clearly defined stages of progress along the way. Camp Registration
Begins Saturday, November 17th
It may be chilly outside, but it’s time to start thinking about summer. Registration for our 2019 camps begins on Saturday, November 17th for full FSPY Members and Saturday, December 1st for Program Members. View all our offerings in our 2019 Summer Camp Brochure.
FSPY Breakfast with Santa
Saturday, December 8th
Meet with Santa and enjoy a delicious breakfast. We’ll have a fun craft and giveaways for the kids, plus bring your camera for a photo-op with Santa. There will be two seatings at 8:30am and 10:00am. Tickets are $10 per person and children 2 and under are free. Please visit the FSPY Member Service Desk to purchase tickets. The event is open to all FSPY members and their guests. All visitors must show a valid government-issued ID to enter the YMCA building. We will be collecting donations of new pajamas and socks in all sizes during the event to help people in need during the holiday season.
Pajama Drive 
Through Wednesday, December 12th
FSPY will be collecting new pajamas of all sizes to help children facing uncertainty have a cozy good night. We are looking for brand-new pajamas of all sizes, from newborn to adult; pajamas must be complete sets and for all seasons, especially winter. Learn more here.
Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving! The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA will be closed today in observance of the holiday. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow to burn off your Thanksgiving calories.
FSPY Black Friday Special
Friday, November 23rd
Give yourself the gift of health this holiday season and give back to your neighbors in need. Join the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA on Black Friday and pay just a $20.19 Joiner’s Fee, which will benefit our Annual Campaign to ensure no one is turned away from the Y’s services due to the inability to pay.
Diabetes Awareness Month
Learn steps to help prevent diabetes on Diabetes Alert Day, Tuesday, Nov. 27th, when we’ll have cooking demos and healthy eating talks at 12pm and 6:30pm. The 6:30pm session also will kick off the next session of our Y’s Diabetes Prevention Program. On Thursday, Nov. 29th, we’ll start our Diabetes Self-Management Program  with a session from 10am-12:30pm.  Contact Donna Peart at to learn more.
