Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program
For those in our community who are diagnosed with high blood pressure, our new Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program may be able to help. We are enrolling now for this evidence-based program that features personalized support, tips for maintaining heart health and nutrition education. Join us as we host Welcoming Week, a celebration of the diversity of our community that brings together immigrants and U.S.-born residents in a spirit of unity. Health Management Programs
Begin September 10
The Y’s Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program kicks off on Tuesday, Sept. 10 with an information session at 12:30pm. Both our Weight Loss Program and Diabetes Prevention Program begin Wednesday, Sept. 18. Our programs are designed to help you meet your wellness goals and get on the path to a healthier lifestyle. Swim Team Clothing Drive
Saturday, September 28
From 11am-3pm, we are collecting clothing and other items to benefit our Swim Team. Donations can be dropped off in the front parking lot of the YMCA. Items must be in plastic bags. For information on accepted items, visit www.clothingdrive.net.
Fall Bus Trip
Wednesday, October 2
Join us for our Fall Bus Trip to the High Line, a public park built on a historic freight rail line on Manhattan’s West Side. We will have a private tour of the High Line, followed by time to have lunch and explore the areas nearby such as Chelsea Market. To learn more or register, visit the FSPY Welcome Center.
Free Membership for incoming 7th Graders
We’re excited to offer our 7th Grade Initiative Program. Incoming 7th Graders who reside in Clark, Scotch Plains and Fanwood can receive a free one-year membership to the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA. Learn more here and visit the FSPY Welcome Center to sign up.
Preschool and Child Care Registration
We have something for everyone here at FSPY, including the youngest members of your family. Our full-time educational childcare program serves infants through 4 year olds, and our preschool programs start at age 2.5 and include half day AM and PM options, kindergarten readiness and enrichment programs.
