The Fanwood-Scotch Plains Y offers American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR and Lifeguarding courses for ages 15 and over. Our American Red Cross Babysitting course is for individuals 11-15 years of age. Active FSPY members and members of the community can register for Health and Safety Training programs at the Y.   • American Red Cross Babysitting Course
    Participants, ages 11-15, will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care to children and infants.
  • Lifeguarding Certification and Review Courses
    American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and Review courses are open to active FSPY members and community members. These courses provide participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies as well as the knowledge to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel can take over.
  • Mental Health First Aid
    Learn how to recognize some of the signs of mental illness as well as how to respond to those who suffer from them.
  • First Aid, CPR and AED
    Training programs include adult and pediatric first aid, CPR, and AED.
