Healthy Kids Day is an annual event that features a day of fun-filled activities to celebrate kids being kids. The Fanwood-Scotch Plains Y is hosting Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 26, 12-3 pm.
This free, community event will feature a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families and a healthy start to the summer season.
Some featured activities include face painting, fun crafts for preschool and school age children, bird feeder projects, gardening activities, family interactive games, sports court family recreation, healthy snacks and more. And, at 12:45 pm, we will hold a pillow-case race hosted by our Business Sponsor, Shovlin Mattress Factory, of Fanwood, NJ!
Healthy Kids Day will be held on Saturday, rain or shine. If the event is held indoors due to weather, Y members can check in at the Welcome Center with your Y card. Community members 18 years and over will need to present a government-issued photo ID to check in. All checked-in guests will receive wrist bands for access to the Healthy Kids Day activities throughout the building.
Throughout the weekend (April 25-27), the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA will be offering a special joiner’s fee of only $20.25 for new members. The special joiner’s fee promotion will help support the 2025 Annual Campaign, Here for the Community – Every Step of the Way.
