“We are really excited with the progress made on our new outdoor campsite and right now, we’re on course to open it this summer. This will be a great outdoor addition to our Y and will give our kids the space they need to have a fantastic summer. The next part of our project focuses on the inside of our Y. If you’ve been to our Y lately, you’ve seen how we’ve been moving around our equipment and relocating areas like our Welcome Center and café so that construction can begin this week. This next phase is going to include the expansion of the Wellness Center – including a complete second floor – as well as an expanded café and Welcome Center area and a second story viewing area and extended deck on Pool 2.
With our growing community, our Y also needs to grow and have the space to meet community needs. This project will allow us to further our fitness and wellness offerings; provide families with more activities they can do together; give kids and teens more space to participate in programs that help their mind and bodies grow; offer seniors additional space to connect and socialize; give our Swim Team families a space to cheer on their swimmers, and more.
We anticipate that the interior part of our project will take a year to complete. We know there will be disruptions, but we will do our best to make this as seamless as possible for all our members.
