May is Water Safety Month. The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA will be celebrating with a water safety event open to the community. Swim on over for Water Safety Day on May 19, 12:30-2:30 PM.
Activities include: Water Safety Scavenger Hunt, Water Safety In-Water Activities, Raffle, and Open Swim!
Open to the community.
12:30-1:15pm: Water Safety Scavenger Hunt: Find all the safety items around the pool such as life jackets, water depth marks, life guards, etc. Completed scavenger hunt cards are eligible for the raffle (see below)!
1:15-2:30pm: Water Safety In-Water Activities & Open Swim: Try on a life jacket, back float contest, deep end swim test, and more. Participate in guided activities such as noodle races, jumping station, floating contest, and swim with a lifejacket. Or, enjoy open swim time with your family.
Raffle: Enter for a chance to win a FREE CPR class for 2 adults or a 4-week Water Safety Swim Lesson for your family (Four 30- minute sessions to take together)

Open to the community. Adults 18 & over must bring Photo ID to check in & sign a guest waiver for all family members. All Children must be accompanied by an adult; all non-swimmers are required to wear Life Jackets & be accompanied in the water by an adult who is within arms reach.
