“I started working here in April. I know someone who works in Wellness and he was always raving about how awesome of a job it is. I would come as a guest sometimes and the people were all very welcoming. I saw there was a job opening at the Welcome Center and I was really excited. I really like the environment here, that it’s a community center and a gym, it makes it different than other places.
Starting this month, I’m going to work in Wellness as well. I’ve also worked in the Child Watch Room and I like that you can work in different departments. You have so many opportunities here. I also enjoy getting to know the staff and the members. I’ve met some really great members and I like hearing their stories, hearing them talk about their kids. You also see how the world is really small. One member talked to me about when he worked in Venezuela, and it happened to be in the same town that my mom is from. He worked right by where she lived and she actually saw his company while they working. This is a big world, but a small world. Everyone is so connected.”
