“I have been working at the Y for two years, starting with after care at McGinn. My mom is a kindergarten teacher and she loves her job. I want to be an occupational therapist for kids when I’m older. I really love kids and she has inspired me to work with them.
At camp, I love being able to spend time with the kids all day, doing fun activities and bonding with them. I think my favorite memory is the bowling trip last year – which is coming up again soon – and the kids got really competitive, which was fun. Plus, all the counselors are close. It doesn’t feel like you’re coming to work, you’re having fun in a happy, caring community.”
