“I first started working here around 2014. I originally started as a preschool teacher. I love working with kids. I started working in day care when I was 20, so when I heard about this opportunity, it was right up my alley. I jumped at the chance. I left during the pandemic and came back this past year. I worked in the Apple Seeds summer camp – a camp that I helped start a number of years back – and now am working in one of our Child Care classrooms.

I like how every day is different. It’s never the same day twice. You never know what kind of day you’re going to have. It’s a wild adventure! I like to watch the kids grow. It’s fun when they’ve discovered something they can do. They’re learning how to control their emotions and figuring out how to navigate the world. It’s exciting.

I also enjoy the camaraderie. It’s comfortable here. Everyone is friendly and kind. There’s no place like it to work. Plus, my two daughters now work here. They started as volunteers when they were younger and now work in SACC and Summer Camp.”
