“I have been working here since my junior year of high school, so around four years now. I started first in Child Care. My sister worked here in the Child Care program and I was interested in teaching. Ever since then, I’ve stayed since it’s a great place to work. First of all, it’s fun. It’s exciting to see the kids grow up, learn how to do new things, and having a part in that. We bring joy into their day and they brighten our days.
I started teaching dance lessons here in September. I’ve danced since I was 3 years old and I’ve taught classes at my dance studio. Right now, I’m teaching the Beginner Dance and the Dance Combo class for kids in kindergarten and up. I think dance is really great for building confidence in kids and gives them a way to express themselves that’s not using their words. It’s also exercise for kids without it feeling like straight forward exercise. It’s a good way to get kids to be creative and appreciate art.”
