“I have been working here for the past three or four years. I was on the Swim Team here for 12 years, from 1st-12th grade. I’ve always felt really comfortable around water. Being in the pool is my element. I’m in school now for recreational therapy and I would like to get my aquatic therapy certification. This will allow me to work with individuals of different abilities in the water.
I worked jobs outside the Y and nothing felt quite the same for me. I always found myself coming back here. It’s definitely because of the people. I also grew up here and feel very comfortable here. There’s such a great community at the Y. The people are so supportive and welcoming. This is like my home away from home.”
