“I’ve been working here since May as a site supervisor. I also worked camp morning and after care at Terrill Middle School. Working here is going to help me in the future. I’m getting my master’s in clinical psychology with a concentration in children and families. I want to help people with their mental health since it’s such a huge issue in our country, and I know they need people in this field. I like working here at the Y because of the community, and I love the people that work here. Every day is something new. I also like that the Y helps all kids in the community, including those who are less fortunate, and provides them with scholarships for programs like after care. We make sure each kid has an equal opportunity, and all the kids are treated as equals. I like being a part of a non-profit organization that helps people regardless of their financial status.

This year in after care, I’m really looking forward to celebrating the holidays and reliving them through the children’s eyes. I like seeing them get so excited for Halloween and Christmas. We have many activities planned and the kids are going to love it.”
