“I started working here around September. I lost my previous job when COVID hit and I had no place to work. I was at a golf outing where I met Tracy (the associate executive director) and she mentioned needing a health screener, and that’s how I learned about working here. I had taken swimming lessons here before with the Special Olympics. I, myself have special needs; I have high functioning autism.  I like that the job is straight forward, every day I know what I have to do. I usually work the later shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and Saturdays during the day. Everyone here is so nice. I get to meet a lot of people and I enjoy chatting with them. I’m a very social person. I also like that the employees can use the Wellness Center and pool. I enjoy swimming, I think it’s one of the best exercises you can do.”
