TINY TASTE MAKERS (Ages 5-7)

Calling all young chefs-in-training to join us in a delightful culinary adventure where creativity and flavors come together. Tiny Tastemakers is a hands-on cooking class where children will discover the joy of cooking and the magic of delicious food. From mixing and measuring to tasting and plating, every step is an opportunity to learn and grow. They’ll learn kitchen safety, food preparation techniques, and the importance of teamwork in the kitchen.

CHECKMATE CHAMPIONS – BEGINNER (Ages 6-9)

Perfect for first-time players! This beginner class introduces kids ages 6–9 to the exciting world of chess in a supportive and playful environment. Students will learn how each piece moves, the rules of the game, and basic strategies—all while building patience, problem-solving skills, and confidence. No prior experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to learn!

CHECK MATE CHAMPIONS – INTERMEDIATE (Ages 10-12)

For young players ready to level up! This intermediate class is ideal for kids ages 10–12 who already know the rules and basic moves. Participants will build on their foundation by exploring tactical patterns, openings, endgame strategy, and how to plan ahead on the board. With engaging instruction from ALJ High School’s Chess Captain, students will refine their skills, learn to compete with confidence, and practice good sportsmanship every step of the way.

SEW MUCH FUN! (Ages 6-9)

Sew Much Fun! In this crafty class where kids get to learn the art of sewing. Whether its creating their first hand-sewn project or something they will design, kids will enjoy the satisfaction of making something with their own hands. This class fosters creativity and problem-solving skills as students explore different textures, patterns, and colors to bring their ideas to life. Let’s sew our way to some amazing creations!

MASTER MINI CHEFS (Ages 8-11)

Get ready to stir up some fun and discover the delicious world of cooking at Master Mini Chefs! Aspiring young chefs learn the importance of healthy eating in a fun and interactive way. Kids explore fresh ingredients and discover how to create balanced meals that are both nutritious and delicious. From chopping and mixing to baking and plating, each session is packed with exciting, age-appropriate recipes that kids will love to make and eat.

CATCH ‘EM ALL (Ages 6-9)

In a small group setting, participants will learn the collectable trading card game of Pokémon. Learn the rules of the game and how to construct your own deck. Then, play against other participants in a circuit style series of games with the goal of becoming self-sufficient and able to play independently outside of class. At the end of the session, students will keep the deck that they make.

MAGIC: THE GATHERING (Ages 11-16)

This class is perfect for teens who are curious about Magic: The Gathering or who want to deepen their understanding of the game. No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and have fun! Bring a notebook and a positive attitude. Magic is about community. If you have a starter deck, feel free to bring it along, but don’t worry if you don’t! Sign up today and start mastering the art of the Planeswalker!
