Teen Wellness is back at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA! Teens in grades 7-10 can get out and get moving in a fun, socially-distanced setting where they’ll learn about healthy living. The next session begins in February.
Our Teen Wellness program consists of cardio and strength work in the large muscle groups. Participants will be supervised at all times during each 45-minute session. During this time, teens will learn how to safely and effectively use the machines in our Wellness Center. They will track their progress on a recommended app (more information will be provided after registration).
Teen Wellness is free and open to active members of the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA and is by reservation only here under “Daxko Registration.” Teens must register and commit to attending all meetings in the 4-week session.
Teen Wellness will feature two separate small groups, one for 7th and 8th graders and another for 9th and 10th graders. The 7th and 8th grade group will meet from 3-3:45pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. The 9th and 10th grade group will meet from 3-3:45pm on Tuesday and Thursdays.
Health and safety guidelines are strictly enforced. Masks must be worn at all times when in the YMCA building and outside when social distancing of 6 feet is not possible. Violators of our polices may be asked to leave the Y. View our updated Wellness Center guidelines here.
