We are excited to begin offering select in-person fitness activities! 


We are now offering outdoor group exercise classes to all of our active, full-facility members. We’re offering HIIT, Zumba, LaBlast, Defend Together, Pilates and more! You can read our guidelines for Outdoor Group Exercise classes here.

Do you need to take your membership off hold? You can easily do so by filling out our form here.

In addition, all virtual group exercise classes are now open to our active, full-facility members only. Before each virtual class, registrants will be emailed the link to join. We plan to keep offering these classes as we transition to more in-person offerings.

Both the outdoor group exercise classes and virtual classes will be available by registration only. Members must register for each individual class they would like to take. Classes will be added weekly to our registration page here.

Outdoor classes will be held in the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA Parking Lot and Brookside Park’s Lower Parking Lot (1255 Hetfield Ave., Scotch Plains). The location will be noted on each class registration page.

Space in our classes is limited and wait lists will be available. Please only sign up for classes if you plan on attending to be respectful of others wishing to participate.

Personal Training and Fitness Consultations at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA are back! 1:1 Sessions are now available for our active, full-facility members.

We will be offering a variety of training to meet your needs and level. The sessions will be administered by Sheri Cognetti and Jennifer Donahue, certified personal trainers, and Donna Peart, our registered dietitian who is also a certified personal trainer. During the sessions, we will be following state guidelines for health and safety protocols.

As a Welcome Back Special, we are offering three 30-minute sessions for $99. The special is one-time use only and can be used by new personal training participants.
