At the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA, we believe in the power of working together to help our neighbors in need. The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting people in many ways, including raising the number of people across the country – and in our community – who are food insecure and can not afford nutritious meals for their family.

We are collecting non-perishable food items for two local food banks: Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scotch Plains and Fanwood Presbyterian Church. There are two marked bins outside our YMCA with the specific needs of each organization.

We are collecting:

Decaf or Regular Coffee (ground or instant)
Tea
Hot Chocolate
Cereal
Canned meat (i.e. SPAM, Vienna sausages, chili)
Canned milk (i.e. Carnation milk cans)
Canned pasta (i.e. Chef Boyardee)
Canned fruit
Oil (vegetable, canola or olive)
Pasta sauce
Canned vegetables
Tuna fish
Peanut butter
Jelly
Snacks
Cake mixes
Mac and cheese
Full-size toiletries

Thank you for helping us help our neighbors in need!
