If you’re in 5th-8th grade, we will have a blast every second Friday of the month at the Y from 8:00-10:00pm!  Join us for a movie, open swim and gym, a pizza dinner and a snack.  Plus, 7th and 8th graders, experience our new FIT room (Fun Interactive Training Room) – a place to come and improve your athletic skills.

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA wants to support kids to make good decisions and form healthy habits that lead to a healthy lifestyle. The 7th Grade Initiative program provides opportunities for fitness and sports, as well as an opportunity to socialize with peers in a safe, supervised and conveniently located environment. The special free membership, available only to 7th graders in Clark, Fanwood and Scotch Plains, demonstrates our commitment and philosophy for a well-rounded approach to the healthy development of the whole person. For more information on this program for the 2018-2019 year, please click here.

Brought to us by the Fanwood-Scotch Plains Y and United Healthcare, the Health Bee is a fun competition focusing on healthy eating, lifestyle, and exercise among 7th graders in the service area.  Each school will have one team to represent them the night of the finals in a jeopardy style quiz show.  Prizes for the schools of the top 2 finalist as well as a spirit award.
