This American Red Cross professional lifeguard certification course includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Lifeguard Training and AED Essentials. Attendance is mandatory at all sessions for certification. Fee includes certification and equipment use. Must be 15 years of age or older and able to swim 300 yards and tread for 2 minutes.
Recertification Lifeguard Training Option
Renew and update your Lifeguard certification. The recert process includes Lifeguarding and First Aid, CPR/AED and O2, and practical and written exams. You must come already prepared to show your skills and pass examinations.
ARC Lifeguard Training Blended
This is an intensive course with online, classroom and pool sessions certifying participants in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid. Our classes include Bloodborne Pathogens and Administering Emergency Oxygen training.
(1) At least 15 years of age by the end of the class
(2) Swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl and breaststroke demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing.
(3) Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. Candidates will place arms under the armpits
(4) Complete the following timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds: Starting in the water, swim 20 yards; surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object; return to the surface and swim 20 yards on your back to return to the starting point. Exit the water without using a ladder or steps. Goggles may not be used.
